Zip Shade external solar screens protect from harmful UV rays, reduce cooling costs when in use, and conveniently retract when not needed. The Zip Shade is the first external solar screen in the world that is truely wind tight in every position and has passed European Wind Class 3 specifications. This means the Zip Shade can withstand upto 130km/hr winds with no blowing out of the side channels. Another advantage is when installed properly, the zipper on the sides and bumper on the bottom rail make these units completely insect proof when closed.

The Zip Shade 150 (150mm - 6") is a great option for solar protection, and offers UV defense, sunlight control, temperature regulation, and added elegance to your abode.
Made of extruded aluminum and powder coated to match the cassette and side rails, it is filled with a galvanized steel weight that has a PE foam on it, to prevent the weight bar from rattling. The sealing strip on the bottom of the profile ensures perfect connection with the sill.
The steel round tube has a unique shape which reduces a horizontal line formation on the fabric.
Two part powdercoated extruded aluminum profiles. The cassette box slides easily into the side rails for installation. Available in black, white, or driftwood.
Two part extruded aluminum profiles powdercoated to match cassette and bottom rail. Both the back and the front side rail are pre-drilled for easy installation. No screws are visible from the front. The inner zipper track is made of HPVC with neoprene buffers to insure smooth operation.
